Our E2AC’s Student Leadership guides the Summer SIE 101 Course, Fall On Campus Screening Series, & Spring Social Impact Film Festival.

  • Julia Flores Genna

    Julia Flores Genna is a rising third-year at the University of Georgia majoring in Entertainment & Media Studies with a minor in Business. She has a passion for all things entertainment but especially film and television. Julia has experience with social media campaigns on social impact and a goal to make a difference in the entertainment industry and beyond. She had a fulfilling and enriching experience as an E2AC Intern last summer, and is very excited to come back as a TA this year!

  • Zayd Milkias

    Zayd Milkias is a Documentary Film student at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, where he also minors in Virtual Reality. Born in Ethiopia and raised in Maui, Hawaii, he is aware of and experienced diverse cultures and aims to represent these different cultures in his immersive storytelling. At Chapman, Zayd has made various documentaries, serves as Secretary for the Surf Club, and is an active member of the Women in Film Club. As a former student in the 2022 SIE course, Zayd is proud to continue working with E2AC.

  • Cami Roadman

    Cami Roadman is a Digital Cinema and Filmmaking major with a Literature Minor at Pace University’s Dyson College of Arts and Sciences. She is very passionate about creating films. At Pace, she has worked on various media, including short films, music videos, and a documentary. She is also currently president of her school’s service sorority, Gamma Sigma Sigma. She enjoyed working with E2AC as a 2023 summer intern and is excited to return!

  • Valeria Hernandez

    Valeria Hernández is a student at Boston University majoring in Film and Television with a minor in Business Management. She was born and raised in Costa Rica, where she always dreamed about moving abroad to work in the entertainment industry and represent her country. At BU she is an experienced producer who has worked in short films, a student-run television show, a web series and now as the event producer of the Social Impact Film Festival. She has also attended and worked at the Cannes Film Festival as a Film Acquisitions and Sales Intern. Valeria’s dream is to become a television producer and network/studio executive.

  • Alex Shores

    Alex is the Executive Producer of the Social Impact Film Festival and a junior at Boston University studying both Film & Television and Behavior & Health. This is Alex's sixth semester working with E2AC, and has had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from planning this festival to interviewing young adults with rare diseases and training interns on social impact filmmaking and marketing. Outside of E2AC, Alex enjoys making short films of his own that often center around health and disabilities, and engages in community service programs throughout Boston and across the country. He is grateful for this experience with E2AC, and hopes you all enjoy the Social Impact Film Festival as much as he enjoyed helping plan it!

  • Lauren Gotard

    Beyond being Creative Director for the Social Impact Film Festival, Lauren is a junior at Boston University studying History with minors in both Film & TV and the Core Curriculum department in the College of Arts and Sciences. After writing and producing an honors thesis film this year, “Taking Back August” directed by her sister Katherine, Lauren is committed to applying her rigorous academic studies to screenwriting, crafting stories with social importance and seeking to examine eternal questions transcending historical bounds. Look out for Lauren’s film as it makes festival runs and stay tuned for the release of a new experimental adaption of Macbeth she wrote entitled Salome.
