PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Carolina is a goal-oriented Virtual Assistant with 10 years of experience in the Nonprofit industry. Her main areas of focus are project management, generating creative content, and supporting operational needs in the organization. Carolina has a BA in Theatre from SUNY Potsdam.

Maggie Borgen
PROGRAM COORDINATOR, E2AC+
Maggie Borgen is a web series showrunner, writer, and actor. She has been a creator on three different web series, most recently “Required Skills,” a comedy about post-grad life. Maggie is passionate about using filmmaking as a way to discuss social issues. As Program Coordinator for E2AC+, Maggie works on the curation and acquisition of content for E2AC’s streaming platform.

Ed Crasnick

Ed runs E2AC’s official streaming channel, E2AC+. Ed is a writer, performer and development exec who over the years has worked on The Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Conan, many shows and podcasts. Ed's passions include: uniting mental health and comedy, solutions journalism and worrying about things he has no control over.

Emma Hagert (she/her) is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and MA candidate at Parsons School of Design. She specializes in media development and social impact storytelling. With a foundation in journalism and film from Boston University, Emma has created compelling narratives across both nonfiction and fictional mediums.

Nick Hudson
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
A proud AmeriCorps alum (Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, Chicago) and bone marrow donor (Gift of Life Marrow Registry, Boca Raton), Nick has over a decade of professional and personal experience working in public service, program management, fundraising and development, strategic partnerships, healthcare equity, and content creation. He is passionate about merging philanthropy and content, raising millions of dollars for social impact projects all across the country and serving on the Board of Directors of the Steven G. AYA Cancer Foundation as well as the Sickle Cell Reproductive Health Education Directive (SC RED). Nick received his BA from Emory University and JD from St. John’s University School of Law.

Carter Oakley
PROGRAM DIRECTOR, E2AC CREATIVE
Carter Oakley is a New York City–based documentary filmmaker and Head of Creative at Entertainment to Affect Change. His debut feature documentary, Other Side, premiered at the SXSW Film Festival. For the past decade, Carter has led the production company Redins, where his work centers on telling deeply empathetic stories—approaching filmmaking with care for both the people on screen and the communities engaging with the work. He graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University with a degree in journalism.

Madeleine Otinsky
INTERN, E2AC+
Madeleine Otinsky is a junior at James Madison University, studying Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Digital Video and Cinema. She is thrilled to be joining E2AC as a summer 2026 intern! At JMU, her excitement for storytelling and film has allowed her to explore passion projects such as creating a podcast with her peers, working on short films with her classmates, and writing for “Artifacts Of Us”, where she interviews and tells people's stories through creative works. She is so excited to be a part of the team and soak in all of the experience she can, while doing her part to help the company grow and expand!

Kai Ruff

Kai is a rising junior at University of Michigan, and was drawn to E2AC because of its altruistic work and commitment to creating meaningful change through storytelling. Kai has always been passionate about using film and media to bring attention to issues and communities that are often overlooked or underrepresented. Through storytelling, Kai hopes to help raise awareness about topics that deserve greater visibility while creating work that can connect with and impact people in a meaningful way.

Alex Shores
PROGRAM DIRECTOR, FISCAL SPONSORSHIP & FELLOWSHIP
Alex Shores is a nonprofit program manager who has been with E2AC since 2021. At E2AC, Alex oversees both the Fiscal Sponsorship and the Fellowship programs, with the goal of supporting filmmakers of all backgrounds and levels of experience. Under his leadership, the fiscal sponsorship has grown from 10 to 300+ projects, and the fellowship has grown from 1 campus to 16.
An alumni of the fellowship program himself, Alex has a strong passion for educating young filmmakers on social impact storytelling and supporting local nonprofits through authentic storytelling.

Maddie Wang is a documentary filmmaker drawn to character-driven stories that explore identity, familial relations, and social justice within larger systems. She is a rising senior at Chapman University and an E2AC fellowship alum. Her work is rooted in empathy and curiosity - bringing new perspectives to the story realm while further developing her voice and directing style. Maddie is so excited to continue her relations with E2AC as a fellowship intern this summer, as she loves working with this team and creating films for social change.
